They Mean Business

As I continued my way up the canyon this morning I could not help but keep thinking about that flood where so many people died. The fellow that owned the campground where I stayed said that a new dam has been built to help divert waters in an emergency and they have a "reverse 911" system in the canyon. Basically, if there is a similar emergency like a fire or flood, the emergency response people call property owners up and down the canyon to warn them. Imaging having the phone ring in the middle of the night and being told to start climbing for your life!
