BMW Motorcycles of Salt Lake
I cannot say enough about these folks. Here I am, arriving on a Friday afternoon late on a busy summer weekend. Josh quickly informed me that they had the parts to do the job and they would take a clutch slave cylinder off a new bike if one was needed and replace it later to avoid having to wait for a part to be shipped. I could tell from the conversations, that other work was being juggled to try to get GORDY (Halleluah I remembered his name)freed up to work on my bike. Putting a clutch in a R1200GS is no easy job. The entire bike gets split at the engine/transmission seam and both parts are moved apart to remove and insert the new clutch parts. I hope I am able to attach multiple pictures to this post to show the people and facilities here. They are top notch. They had storage for my luggage and Josh would not even allow me to carry it to the storage area. He kept saying I had done my part to limp the bike here and "we will take care of the rest". "Go have a coke at the free soda machine inside and go up to the lounge and relax and watch TV". Josh made a reservation at a local Best Western for me at a special rate they have for stranded travelers. Others arranged a loaner bike, so I would have transportation as the work might go into Tuesday if Gordy could not finish it in one day. They are closed on Sunday and Monday. When they closed for the day, Josh drove the stuff I needed for the hotel in his car and insisted on carrying it to my room. He even stayed until my room was changed because of faulty A/C in the first one. I can not say enough about he and Tim who also works in service helped me through this ordeal. This is a top notch dealership. Modern in every way and driven to provide customer service. I could see it at every encounter not only for me, but others I observed while there. The general manager Jeremy Kanter can be proud of the crew they have. hy bike was washed of the Colorado mud that night so it would be ready for Gordy to jump right in on Saturday.
